Historic news 🎉
Dame @bishopSarahM has been announced as the next Archbishop of Canterbury - the first woman ever in the role!

As Bishop of London, she championed young people and supported XLP’s work. We’re excited to see her leadership shape this new chapter.

Great to visit @xlplondon’s Stratford Hub - a fun space giving local young people the support and resources they deserve.

From a music recording room to a gym, this space has it all! It’s what real community investment looks like.
Every child deserves space to thrive - and a shot at a bright future.

Big thanks to Daniel - one of the unsung heroes of Stratford and Bow - and all the team for the work they do.

We’re live on @BBCRadioLondon this Sunday at 8:40am!

@jumokefashola interviews our CEO Luke with Uche, one of the brilliant young people we work with. They'll be talking about the power of youth work and how XLP is helping shape brighter futures in London.

[XLP @xlplondon]

As London thaws and spring begins to bloom, we’re reminded that even the smallest signs of hope matter.

For many young people, life’s still tough. But in a quiet chat, a kickabout, or a trip out of the city we see that hope starts to grow.

And that changes everything. 🌱

[XLP @xlplondon]

The proof is in - youth work changes lives!

Since September 1,776 young people have had somewhere to turn when life felt overwhelming - because of your support!

💙Growing in confidence and skills, young people tell us XLP is a safe space where they’re seen, heard and supported.

@SeanO_YW_Bt0n @cumberlandcst Hey! https://t.co/mEk8MbGVPL and https://t.co/dQSOTyo2pO are good reads for this

[XLP @xlplondon]

Two young people from @cumberlandcst on work experience with XLP mapped out a truth we can't ignore: some young people journey from school exclusion to youth offending services.

But their map had hope. A Youth Work Branch that starts with listening and leads to positive futures
