This is a dirty behaviour and I’m not making excuses for it but it will only happen to you if you’re not involved in your kids’ lives.
You won’t do school runs, you won’t attend PTAs, you won’t ask for your kids’ results or newsletters at the end of the session. You don’t know your kids’ teachers or anyone from the management. Why wouldn’t a dishonest wife or anyone at all leverage on it to steal from you🤷🏾♀️
I reviewed your profile and I see that you are a reasonable person who does a lot for the community, so I will respond.
1. I do not have a problem with any particular profession, and I am not a Medical Doctor - my degrees are clearly written out on my profile, and none of it suggests that I am a Medical Doctor. However, I still contribute to patients’ health outcomes, like you, from a non-clinical perspective. I am clarifying this so you will understand that I am not responding with a “Doctors think they are better than everyone” bias.
2. You are a Pharmacist, and according to your profile, you “share helpful tips that prevent drug therapy problems”. I have a Bachelors degree in Microbiology. As an undergraduate Microbiology student, I discovered four novel microorganisms (that i isolated from soil samples I personally collected) that showed inhibitory activity against ESKAPE organisms. I identified these microorganisms biochemically and at the molecular level. If I continued with my study, I probably could have produced some antibiotics.
I also have a Masters degree in Forensic Science, so from my undergraduate background and research experience, you will understand why I leaned toward Forensic Toxicology specialisation. I have spent considerable time working/learning at two of Nigeria’s leading tertiary healthcare facilities.
With my academic qualification and experience, I am capable of making educated and informed opinions on drugs (medications) in general. But I still do not have the practical experience and the knowledge to do what your profile says you do. Why? Because I don’t have the training, qualifications, license, or even the experience to do so.
So if I start giving the tips that you give to members of the public, you naturally would ask me to stop. Because even if I am giving the right tips, you will still harp on the lack of training, qualification, license, and experience, and how this matters because the tips you give are sometimes influenced by these parameters and also by the skills you have now honed because of those parameters.
I have sat through several court proceedings; I have read several judgments and law reports, and I have even taken courses on evidential procedure. Those are part of my training as a Forensic Scientist, but if I attempt to represent someone as a Lawyer, the client and I will definitely end up in prison. Why? Because although I have seen Lawyers defend people several times, I still do not have the training, qualification, license, or experience to do so.
So tell me, does a pharmacist have the training, qualification, license or even the experience to educate people on carotid endarterectomy?
3. In Nigeria, the Pharmacy profession is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (Establishment) Act 2022. The training and practice license of every pharmacist trained in Nigeria covers pharmaceutical care, medicines management, compounding, dispensing, drug information, and pharmacovigilance. It does not cover the technical details, indications, or performance of major vascular surgery. If a malpractice claim is brought against him, how do you think he will fare?
4. Professional boundaries are protected by the National Health Act 2014, and they exist for a reason. They protect patients from misinformation and unnecessary fear. They create clear lines of accountability when things go wrong. They preserve public trust in the health system. And they allow multidisciplinary teams to work effectively rather than competing for territory. When professionals step outside their regulated competence in public commentary, they risk confusing the public and undermining the very collaboration the system needs.
If he had focused on the pharmaceutical aspects of pre- and post-surgery care, that would have been within his professional boundary. Talking about the procedure itself is outside his boundary.
Cheers!

How many more civilians must endure such ordeals before effective security measures are put in place?
Please release these children for the sake of our shared humanity
I am deeply shocked and heartbroken by the condition in which these abducted school children are, as seen from their flagellated bodies. It is a painful reminder of the depth of insecurity in our land.
I have always made it clear that the society we abuse today will take its revenge on our children tomorrow. When I first began making that statement, some of these children were not even born. This is a classic example of how the abuse of governance and society today can produce devastating consequences long after the abusers are gone.
It is on the same line that I argue that the loans our leaders take today will hurt our children in the future, as many of them will mature for repayment and consequences long after we are gone.
To those holding these children, I make a direct appeal to your conscience. Remember that these are innocent children - sons and daughters of people who have placed their hopes, dreams, and entire future in them. In every one of them, you will find reflections of your own children, your own family, and your own humanity.
No grievance, no hardship, no justification can ever outweigh the sanctity of a child’s life and innocence. Whatever path has led to this moment, there is still room for remorse, for humanity, and for a change of heart.
I therefore appeal to your sense of mercy: release these children immediately. Let them go. Return them safely to society to reunite with their families. -PO
