@nikgeneburn Not a PvE person but I certainly am excited to see the AI changes and the referral program. When can we expect the engine upgrade and reworked flora though? November?
@nikgeneburn These comments have an IQ average below the displayed prestige number. What the hell happened to this community for it to become such a toxic mess...
But regardless, seems cool, though when can we expect more Prestige levels added overall (7 & 8)? New year patch?
@X4me1eoH@nikgeneburn That's the point of the game, you either play slowly and strategically (but safely) or take risks when moving faster. It's always been like that and it's precisely what it should be, watching streamers run around is more entertaining but it isn't the one only "correct" playstyle
@jsg_squared@tarkov They're doing it to see feedback on increased XP from raids and combat to discourage ratting, on seasonal because it's the same test environment as wiping servers in the past. As if increasing XP gains would change anything if you're not playing already. Freaking people man
@nikgeneburn This is absolutely amazing. Also in terms of grenades, can we expect smokes in EFT to be upgraded to the level of Arena smokes, and also can we expect more smoke colors, etc? Or stuff like coughing and stamina drain when standing in smoke without a gas mask or a respirator?
@nikgeneburn New BG is great, but we need more maps and maybe also a randomized map ban system instead of the usual map choice menu, so that they're all somewhat equally played. But the foundation overall works really well
@nikgeneburn Okay so this is basically fucking beautiful. Oh boy autumn and winter are going to look mesmerizing, this plus the return of dynamic weather will make for peak atmosphere. Keep up the work guys, this stuff is glorious
@Sexy_oce@KatDoes3D@nikgeneburn No, they are both. The difference is that in this context I just mentioned those playing PvE. I would much rather just have both sides of the cringe discussion just shut up and focus on productive criticism instead of pointless, hollow complaints, entitlement and arguing
@KatDoes3D@Sexy_oce@nikgeneburn I pointed out that I meant the vocal minority, since probably 99.9% of PvE playerbase (or any of the other modes for that matter) are busy just playing the game, not exclaiming their wishes on social media. And as for the rest, that's what I call scarce. Read attentively
@nikgeneburn It could use some polishing since right now cartriges don't look like they're actually moved by the character's fingers, they feel a bit too smooth. But after a little polish I'm so glad we're finally getting this. Will it also work without having the menu open and on the move?
@_legionusa_@nikgeneburn 2/2 the difference in seasonal content. What was the peak of stupidity in my opinion was splitting the PvP between persistent and seasonal. PvE can exist alongside PvP without issue, but limiting seasonal content to PvP is what keeps the servers alive and playable.
@_legionusa_@nikgeneburn Tarkov was and still is a mainly PvP focused game, and development is focused on PvP, regardless of how popular PvE became. Also, if all players disappeared suddenly, PvE will function flawlessly (except for Flea) while PvP needs active players to stay functioning. Hence 1/2
@Sexy_oce@nikgeneburn The very fact PvE exists feeds into an overly vocal and entitled minority of the community demanding even more catering towards them the more they get. PvE's existence eas never the direct issue, the problem lies in catering towards scarce but loud crybabies
@nikgeneburn The League system has potential, but is also deeply flawed by being tied to XP. If it were set up for action-based points instead (like 0.1 point for looting a container, 0.2 for a body, 1 for scav killed, 5 for PMC killed, etc) it would be far more interesting and balanced
@nikgeneburn Basing it on XP is turning out to just be a farm fest, as I sadly expected. I still took part and ranked up, gathered around 600k XP from a few tasks done over less than 20 raids. I think if you introduced a system awarding points for specific actions, it would be far better
