Here's an idea. In the Westminster system, which our government is based on, the House of Lords is appointed - not voted for. Why don't we start appointing the Senate. We could appoint one person from each of these nations. How about an Indigenous Senate?
🔻Aviation emissions are soaring, but sustainable solutions are still far off.
🔻We need to factor the true climate cost into ticket prices and rethink airport expansions for a sustainable future.

@RedBluePill1@9NewsAUS@ccroucher9 You obviously don’t live in Lismore, Tuvalu, or any number of other localities or countries that have been ravaged by climate disasters in recent years. Lucky you.
The 5 seater gas car on the left gets 23 MPGe, has 25 miles of electric range, and gets a $7,500 EV Tax Credit.
The 5 seater on the right gets 117 MPGe, has 330 miles of electric range, and gets a $0 EV Tax Credit.

@shanenorman2002@joNadya1@TheBusinessAne1@XRebellionUK It would only affect a few countries. Most signatories to the Paris Agreement are already contributing next to nothing to emissions. They are waiting for us to catch up. The owners of private jets, yachts and car drivers might be adversely effected. The rest of us will be fine.
@12simon12@JuliaHB1 Up until the middle of the 20th century almost nothing was made of oil. Anyone who has used an excellently made, robust machine from the late 19th or early 20th century will tell you there is not a piece of plastic or rubber in them and they are all the better for it.
@teamdad2018@Metal_Rebel @NialElkim @WV_Rising If true, that would be great but it is not the trend, is it? The definite trend is for an increasing loss of ice year over year. It is easy to cherry pick one statistic and imply that it represents a trend.
@Metal_Rebel @NialElkim @teamdad2018@WV_Rising The other thing about warmer temperatures is that the volume of sea water will literally increase as temperatures increase because warm water takes up more space than cold water.
@friendlyjordies Back in October last year, we suggested that we’d only just found the thin edge of the wedge. John “Dunning-Kruger” Barilaro continues to deliver when he should have just retired into an expensive cave and counted his money. The guy is too stupid to know when it’s time to stop.
Any government that supports building a toxic 24hr inland airport in Western Sydney in an area that already suffers 45degree heat & flooding can not be serious about #ClimateAction@AustralianLabor#ClimateCrisis#auspol
