Shell's harmful practices cross municipal lines and county lines. If you factor in the entire petrochemical buildout in the Ohio Valley, they also cross state lines. This is not an issue confined to only one community.

Like so many environmental problems, air pollution disproportionately affects people of color. Health disparities are making this environmental injustice even worse.

Fracking wells that have popped up in SWPA are here to feed the plastic plant. There are rare cancer clusters and decimated communities due to fracking, and a lot of is for the sake of Shell's plastic death factory. The same goes for the dangerous ethane pipeline called Falcon.
A commitment to reach so called 'net zero' by 2050 and protect a mere 30% of land & ocean by 2030 is a commitment to continue emitting vast amounts of greenhouse gases while completing the destruction of ancient rainforests, coral reefs and Arctic sea ice. A commitment to horror.
Shell is here to create more plastic and make these problems worse. They are already so bad it is almost unfathomable. If they get worse, it will mean our lives. And we have a right to defend our lives! #ClimateAction#EnvironmentalJustice#TellTheTruth#ShellKills
We haven't even gotten to the oceans yet. The oceans may seem inconsequential to us in SWPA, but plastics are gradually killing off every living thing in them. Dead oceans mean dead humans. The oceans provide 50% of our oxygen, and all that oxygen will go away if oceans are dead.
Microplastics are as big as a grain of rice or smaller. They are in our rivers, our soil, our rain water, our food, and our very bodies. They are contaminating the crops that our local farmers grow, the fish people catch in our rivers and streams, and the wild game that we hunt.
