@opheliafaye_ No. Isayama says plainly Eren views her as a motherly presence not a lover not that Mikasa makes herself a motherly presence it’s how he views her. This line is of rebellion an exaggeration to push Mikasa away not an accurate portrayal of his feelings
From Isayama’s point of view from the beginning Eren didn’t have romantic interest in Mikasa but rather saw her as an annoyingly motherly presence and that Eren growing up is consequence to becoming independent from Mikasa.
rewatching aot and now it’s obvious to me that eren disliking mikasa for constantly looking out for him is just him thinking mikasa sees him as a younger sibling and he doesn’t want to be seen that way by her because he has romantic feelings towards her.
This narrative that there’s a consistent stereotype of women in media where they’re male centric damsel princesses doesn’t exist.
This level one wokeness let’s level up.
‘FORGOTTEN ISLAND’ director Joel Crawford says the film honors women in their lives and Filipino folklore.
“So many times, young girls in movies and TV are portrayed as always talking about boys, or they’re princesses... I want my daughters to see themselves up on the screen, whether it’s in terms of culture, in terms of ethnicity, but also how they are as people.”
we don’t respect mikasa enough for being able to kill eren without a final sliver of hesitation. idc that this was her final point, that was her lover and childhood friend, she was killing everything she knew for humanity.
@suichanwa1@puddles42069 Pointing out he’s a massive hypocrite wanting her to consider his opinion but he didn’t give a damn about her opinion when it came to him coming online to talk about her private life. Man needs to grow up and stop treating women like dolls.
@puddles42069@suichanwa1 You’re out here posting private messages SHE sent YOU, exposing her private and sensitive situation, sharing pictures of her body, using vulgar language to describe your relationship with her saying you “fucked her” showing zero respect for her opinion but yet you feel entitled?
If you knew anything about Code Geass you’d know Britannia’s home land is the United States but it’s never been called that because in this universe Britain won the revolutionary war. Britannia is the symbolic stand in for the entirety of western colonialism US included.
i love this scene so much because he was so excited to learn more about the titans so they can progress faster and listened to hange talk about things he already knew the entire night without complaining once
