We have two more talks at ICRA RUNE workshop today.
+ "Dynamic Light-field Sensing for Distributed Light Pollution Monitoring"
+ "A Mobile Robotic Solution for Dense Water Quality Sensing and Monitoring"
See you at Conf Ctr Rm 303. #ICRA2024

Mapping subsea structures is usually a manual process. @xahidbuffon & his @RoboPI_UF lab recently deployed their autonomous robot, NemoSens, in the Gulf. With its sonar, hi-res cameras, and 'brain,' NemoSens simply does the job and returns to the boat. https://t.co/vdM19DTVnd
Our @RoboPI_UF group attended the 2024 Marine Robotics Workshop and Field Trials at the Bellairs Research Institute of Barbados. It was great to see so many amazing designs and ideas for solving various marine robotics problems. Some great talks and robot demos too 🤖
Our ocean deployment of the NemoSens AUV in France. Thanks to RTSYS - Underwater Acoustics & Drones, we tested our new robot in deep water autonomous missions for surveying subsea structures. More: https://t.co/xetEp1S5YD
Dr. Islam and the RoboPI students served as judges to the VIQRC Blended Tournament at the Oaks Mall last week (event details is here: https://t.co/RCQVhxp7jL). See more at: https://t.co/eSSmQgIzo7
Wishing good luck to our SURF students Zijie & Reagan - hope your summer at UF was eventful and productive. We also bid farewell to our MSc graduate student Jiayi Wu, who is starting his PhD in U Maryland, CP. See you again soon in conferences! More at: https://t.co/BoOoXaJxNH
Our CL-ViT paper (https://t.co/72hnwXbx2L) on underwater cave exploration by AUVs - is accepted for publication at the IROS 2023 (Int Conf on Intelligent Robots & Systems). This is a join work from RoboPI, UF and Dr. Yiannis's group at USC. Congratulations!
Best Paper Award at the IEEE Conference of AI - congratulations our Master's students Jiayi Wu (@Jiayi_Wu_Leo)!
Jiayi's paper included some findings from his MSc thesis work on efficient 3D reconstructions of underwater scenes. More details soon!
