If you build a political order solely around maximizing individual liberty, sooner or later you're going to have a bunch of political blowups over what constitutes liberty.

The way that a Progressive thinks of liberty is very different than the way that a Conservative thinks of liberty. The Progressive believes that open borders, transgender surgeries for children, gay marriage, and public drug use are all covered under individual liberty. The Conservative thinks that gun rights, free speech, private property, and limited government all constitute individual liberty.

So obviously, “individual liberty” is not enough to hold a society together.

But Progressives, Libertarians, and even Conservatives for that matter (so basically like 90% of the political actors in society right now) all have a collective objection.

If you instead try to reorder society around something else, say morality, virtue or cultivating human flourishing, then you're simply inviting a fight over the definition of “what is morality?” or “what is virtue?” or “what is human flourishing?”

And so what you end up having is just an infinite regress where whatever metric the state or society claims to want to promote through politics and government simply becomes the new battlefield over which we fight for the power to define the meaning of terms and definitions forever, because the power to define these things necessary entails the power to rule.

Politics can never be self-referential. There’s no order that can forever be grounded in a concept where the definition of said concept is itself something that’s politically contested.

If your order is grounded in liberty, someone must decide what counts as liberty.

If your order is grounded in morality, someone must decide what is moral.

If your order is grounded in flourishing, someone must decide what flourishing looks like.

And so on, and so on.

Ultimately, nothing can ever take the place of decision. The power to decide is what ultimately governs every order, not the abstract concept or principle said order claims to stand for.

I’m not saying the abstract concepts don’t matter. Obviously they do. Power for the sake of power is pointless. Everyone always has a reason for seeking out power and some reasons are vastly more grounded in objective truth than others, but the existence of a reason doesn’t take away from the fact that someone has to inevitably wield power to make that reason a concrete political reality.

Unfortunately for you, someone is going to impose their view of the common good on your family one way or another.

That’s what laws are.

At all times and in all places, a particular moral vision is going to be actively promoted. You’re doing it right now as you demand that your classically liberal moral vision of metaphysical neutrality be the common good standard that we impose on society.

Why is it that when everyone else openly fights to see their vision of the common good reflected in society, it’s problematic and apparently antisemitic, but when you try to do the same by smuggling your conception of the common good in through the back door, it’s suddenly principled and apolitical?

The actual “birthright” belongs to my children, and the children of all real Americans. They have a birthright to live in a country that resembles the one our ancestors established. And now that birthright, the only true birthright, has been destroyed in favor of the imagined “birthright” of children born to parents who don’t even belong in this country and who have no ancestral or cultural ties to it whatsoever. Unless this ruling is overturned one day, then America is probably now trapped in a death spiral with no hope to rescue it. And I’m not exaggerating here.

There is no possible way the Constitution could be amended to overturn this ruling. The votes don’t exist in Congress or the state legislatures and likely never will because Democrats will oppose this out of a combination of pure spite and political opportunism.

They know that laws can easily become political weapons, and birthright citizenship is a weapon they alone get to use. Under no circumstances will they ever voluntarily surrender it. Why would they? Every time it’s used, it becomes stronger.

It's just a matter of time until Democrats win another election and find themselves in the position to re-open the flood gates, mass import millions of culturally incompatible foreigners from the Third World, let them give birth to anchor babies, and eventually overwhelm this country's existing electorate through sheer deadweight of numbers.

America will be lost in stages, with periodic attempts to fight back along the way. But baring a reversal of this case, it will be lost all the same. The Brazilification of the United States has already been underway for decades. This ruling now guarantees its inevitability unless a future one negates it.

Ever notice how the Constitution was utterly powerless to stop COVID lockdowns or the explicitly anti-White/Male DEI regime that was constructed over the last decade, but now it’s being invoked to grant natural-born citizenship to CCP spies?

The Constitution has become a suicide pact that is being used to steadily dissolve the very nation that wrote and ratified it in the first place.

The Senate can’t even pass the fucking SAVE Act which 80% of the public supports. How the hell are they are going repeal Hart-Celler (which is now more important than ever before), much less pass a Constitutional amendment abolishing Birthright Citizenship?

There is only one path to solving this crisis and that is through judicial fiat. We need a new Supreme Court, and we need that court to overturn the disastrous decision that this current court has just issued.

That’s the entire ball game right there. We either get a new Supreme Court in the near future, or the country itself will inevitably die within probably a century or so.

There’s a very good chance that America will outlive you or I, but will it outlive a newborn that just came into this world today? I doubt so, unless we devote ourselves to doing whatever is necessary to overturn this disastrous ruling as soon as possible.

That means we have to hold the Senate and the Presidency, and we need to continue filling new SCOTUS vacancies with justices who understand the civilizational stakes we are dealing with. No more originalist or textualist bullshit. We’re dealing with matters of life or death for an entire people. The next SCOTUS nominee needs to do whatever Ketanji Brown Jackson does, but in service of our goals instead of the Left’s.

Republicans need to stop appointing textualists and originalists and start appointing Right-wing schmittians.

Practically all conservative justices begin every case with trying to figure out what the law says or what the law was originally intended to accomplish. Meanwhile, every single Liberal justice starts with asking what outcome achieves gay race communism, and then works backwards from that point to justify their ruling.

This imbalance cannot last forever. Only Right-wing schmittian judges can counter Left-wing schmittian judges. In a prisoner’s dilemma like the one we currently find ourselves in, the only non-suicidal option is to defect every single time until the other side gets the memo.

We need to be doing everything in our power to prevent CCP spies or women from the Third World from setting foot on American soil until this disastrous ruling is completely overturned by a future Supreme Court.

There are steps that we can take right now to buy us time until we get that revised ruling in the future. Banning birth tourism and ending visas to pregnant women are two of the most obvious things we can and should be doing right now.

Trump should issue a order that any pregnant illegal alien in custody must immediately be transferred to the newly created Guantanamo Bay deportations center. That is technically Cuban territory so birthright citizenship doesn't apply. It's SCOTUS fault we must go to such lengths.
