I doubt if I will have any influence at all but if Group Ticket Voting is still a thing at this year's election and the government has not at least introduced legislation to scrap it, I will feel obliged to say that voters should put the government last.
A pleasure to join ABC Radio National this afternoon to discuss new research from @TheSGSoc exploring recent developments in litigation funding and class action reform. To read more, visit our website https://t.co/1IANR0K8uE #auslaw
Want to know how bad court backlogs are in Victoria compared to the rest of the country?
This bad 👇
Shocking. But what’s worse is that Labor has no plan to fix it.
So Victorians will continue to suffer.

“This idea that there needs to be a choice between inner metropolitan seats, outer metropolitan seats and regional Victoria is a false one ... As a party of government, we need to reach out to all corners of the state.” #springst https://t.co/fEOLRHWoAR
@nsavagegreens@JohnPesutto Nick, was great to meet you on prepoll and I hope we cross paths again. You should be very proud of your campaign - and you've certainly earned some time to put your feet up!
@JohnKennedyMP @rwillingham John, congratulations on a hard-fought, but incredibly civil campaign. It was a pleasure to spend so much of prepoll with you, Bronwyn and Patrick. All the best for whatever comes next and hope you get to enjoy some well-earned time off with family and friends.
@hillfolkAU I have seen this way too many times. Generally it's elderly people or people with physical limitations (much more common at mobile polling booths). It's often clear they're voting for a candidate in the final two and the preferences that can't be discerned don't matter at all
"Explosive leaked video reveals election fixer Glenn Druery detailing a meal with executives from the [CFMEU] in 2018, during which he was asked to construct a winning preference flow for Animal Justice Party (AJP) candidate Andy Meddick." #springst

@hillfolkAU For what it's worth, I agree. High time to both end GVTs and introduce OPV. I'm encouraged that Druery won't deal with the Coalition because he fears they won't protect GVTs like Labor
Antony Green's assessment is supported by Climate 200's own polling (which showed a 50% ⬇️ drop in support), as well as more recent polling which shows their candidate still polling in the low teens (voting starts in a fortnight) #springst#HawthornVotes

Another interesting set of numbers that haven't previously been reported are the results of the question on respondents' state voting intentions, which had John Pesutto outperforming the Liberal Party's federal vote by ~3 pct pts - roughly Monique Ryan's winning margin 4/
ABC election analyst Antony Green says "Lowe won’t poll as well as [Monique] Ryan did federally." Mark Cubit, who "is typical of voters who supported Ryan in May" says "I would rather see John Pesutto elected." #SpringSt#HawthornVotes#InsideHawthorn

@JacintaAllanMP With respect, as Treasurer @michaelobrienmp fully funded the very first level crossing removal (Burke Rd) for which your government is now taking credit as part of the 2014-15 Budget (which also fully funded level crossing removals at North Rd and Blackburn Rd) #springst
Each of them is a phenomenal advocate for Liberal values and has a bright future ahead of them. This is what politics can and should be all about #SpringSt#HawthornVotes#InsideHawthorn
One of my favourite moments from the official launch of John Pesutto's campaign on Sunday was hearing from some of the volunteers who have been helping him connect with tens of thousands of Hawthorn locals over the last year #SpringSt#HawthornVotes#InsideHawthorn
It has been such a privilege to get to know these 200 energetic, thoughtful and compassionate young people, and to watch them grow in self-confidence during the campaign #SpringSt#HawthornVotes#InsideHawthorn
Interestingly, it appears that this page (allowing donors to give almost $22K as part of a single transaction) has now been removed. Nothing to see here 🤷♂️ #springst#auspol
This is getting ridiculous. Climate 200 is now actively soliciting political donations well in excess of the $4K donations cap introduced in 2018 through a new webpage that allows a single donor to contribute almost $22K to Climate 200's state election campaign. 1/2 #SpringSt

New development in the dubious 'campaign-for-credit' scheme involving the Climate 200 candidate for #HawthornVotes and fellow Swinburne staff. Victoria's anti-corruption watchdog has been asked to investigate after a student raised fresh concerns #SpringSt

Quite the drive just to grab lunch. Understand that Will Fowles has decided to run for Ringwood in November, but he still works for the people of Burwood #springst#thisislabor
Further coverage of the 'campaign-for-credit' scandal involving the Climate 200 candidate for Hawthorn and @Swinburne colleagues this evening on @7NewsMelbourne. Credit to the University for recognising how improper this was and taking decisive action #SpringSt#HawthornVotes
The Climate 200 candidate for Hawthorn and her @Swinburne colleagues have just been caught in an elaborate 'campaign-for-credit' scheme that may breach both Vic & Cth law. Reveals a complete lack of integrity & leaves the campaign's credibility in tatters #SpringSt#HawthornVotes
