Our red panda caretakers had a great time creating a fun birthday party theme for Little Mebo, who turns three years old today! The princess theme was a hit with our guests, though Mebo preferred to enjoy the celebration at her own pace!

We use this pole, called a target, for target training many of our animals with their favorite treat. It helps zoo keepers check animal mobility, look for injuries, move them to a specific spot for vet care, etc.
Kris the cheetah has officially graduated from physical therapy!! 👏 🎉 She is doing well and loves her time in the large yard! Her care team will still continue physical therapy even though she is technically graduated, as it helps with her strength and coordination as she ages
