Agreed. Secure your documents, last salary, experience letter and benefits first. Notice is often just courtesy in many places, but always check your contract and local law. In Bangladesh, permanent workers usually need 60 days’ written notice (or pay in lieu). Better to protect yourself before giving notice.

Managers demand a 2-week notice but will gladly lay you off with a 2-minute notice. The double standard is insane.
