@SciEdSpence It’s been a fascinating thing to process. But it’s 7:40 and work starts in 20 minutes and I haven’t left bed yet, and I won’t be late, so I guess it worked out. But if I had a preference being in person would have been it, I’m like the kids I love a good lab too!

@SciEdSpence But it’s what happened. My evaluations from schools have always been high. My reference letters great. I always sponsor clubs. And I started applying and interviewing last October and continued through July.

@SciEdSpence I know some districts opted to leave positions I applied for unfilled. I just can’t make sense of it, especially considering the alternatives of no teacher, a substitute with limited science background, or using virtual teachers or online programs.

@SciEdSpence I think this is interesting, I applied to every district within an hour of where I live for any science position I was qualified for, I would say I put out 40 applications min. and did 15-20 interviews. And the only place that offered me a job was a virtual school.
