There are levels to how people understand anything, and $XRP is a perfect example.

LEVEL 1 — THE PASSENGER

Doesn’t research shit. Heard somebody say $XRP is going to $10,000, bought some, and joined the crowd. Repeats whatever the last person said with confidence. Couldn’t explain what XRPL is if you asked.

LEVEL 2 — THE BARE MINIMUM

Did enough research to buy $XRP. Has a wallet. Watches price. Follows influencers. Still might not have their seed phrase properly secured and has never actually used the network.

LEVEL 3 — THE RESEARCHER

Starts asking better questions. Learns the difference between Ripple, $XRP, and XRPL. Understands wallets, transactions, supply, escrow, the DEX, AMMs, liquidity, payments, and why the asset exists.

This is where you stop depending on somebody else to tell you what you own.

LEVEL 4 — THE USER

Actually touches the technology. Uses Xaman. Sends $XRP. Uses the DEX. Buys something. Accepts a payment. Interacts with an NFT. Connects a wallet to a Web3 application.

A lot of things suddenly make sense here that never made sense from watching videos.

LEVEL 5 — THE OPERATOR

Starts thinking about what the infrastructure can do for them. Opens a business. Generates income. Uses assets instead of only holding them. Looks for opportunities inside the ecosystem instead of waiting for price.

LEVEL 6 — THE BUILDER

Gets underneath the interface. APIs. WebSockets. Ledger data. Transactions. Hooks. Payment flows. Wallet authentication. Infrastructure. Starts creating the tools everyone else eventually uses.

LEVEL 7 — THE ELITE THINKER

This person doesn’t stop at understanding what exists. They ask what’s missing.

They connect things other people look at separately. Technology. Money. Human behavior. Business. Liquidity. Incentives. Infrastructure.

They don’t need an influencer to tell them what to think. They gather information, test it, understand it, and form their own conclusions.

Most people never move very far up this list because every level requires more effort than the one before it. And that has very little to do with $XRP.

That’s just humans.
