Havent worn a watch or fitness/whoop band since the start of the year, and life is better. Less is more in the most practical sense. A bell curve meme is most suitable for this
Similarly on the phone front, deleting apps like ig, snapchat, tiktok, linkedin, etc only serves to benefit you. Youtube for downloaded content, audible, X, and substack being among the only useful apps for content imo
Clothing is similar too. Unless you have a genuine passion for fashion (sus), the simpler the better -- a few tasteful pieces and plain tees is more than sufficient
Same applies with cars. The porsche's, comp beamers, and the rest are usually a phase; they get replaced with more practical pick ups and suvs.
Tech -- all the custom high spec is unnecessary. Iphone w/o a case and a macbook with m4+ chip is plenty for 90% of needs
Supplements and biohacking still largely comes down to regular exercise, sufficient sleep, a balance diet, and getting some sun. The rest is for a nearly immeasurable edge that cultivating takes up more bandwidth than it's worth
Travel the world enough and you're inclined to stay home. What used to be a vacation, becomes unnecessary hassle
Every aspect and domain of materialism results in a sensible minimalism. Having the foresight to see this isnt enough though. We are curious and needy creatures. We must experience it, and even then, lie to ourselves for a while til we recognize the vanity of seeking more in the temporal than what it has to offer you
This isn't a bug or some unquenchable thirst. we are wired to pursue more, for the very reason of pursuing God -- the only domain where the further you progress, only the more extreme you want to become, not in a purely religious sense of practicing customs, but in the internal sense of emptying of ourselves, surrendering to Him above, and willing the good of others whom might very well despise us
Part of the materialists' ambitions is attempting to find something that makes him feel a bit more whole, even if only for a little while. All roads lead to Rome in the sense of spirituality, to the Church, founded upon Peter, commanded by Christ. If you go down every path far enough, you find yourself there
Materially, your life cannot improve unless you find contentment in God
Here’s my first journal then
Andrew Tate says something wild about women that’s true
Instagram has taken them…
More often than not I see a women post all year round how good their life is, when inside they are not
To constantly prove to others
Year after year
I recently started reading diary of a ceo by Steven and he explains that the best in their field often wrote down things, taught it to people then was able to master it. I think the game of life eventually leads to teaching if you become good at the game so I may as well start
