@UkiyoFGC@monsterhunter Exactly, you absolute buffoon, you cretin, you poor Neanderthal. You fell for the oldest trick in the book! Point and LAUGH. Nah seriously though I fell for it too then I remembered the release of that post and checked the date
@Rozes_Garden@LucasCokley57 I theorized that too, I’m just astonished it’s a topic not touched just yet. But I def feel he watched Plark do it, and copied him seeing it wasn’t.. bloody or etc.
@Creambastard@MidnightBoshi That’s what I’m saying, that hint is stupid. How does the “Perfect time to Strike” relate into using a specific skill that uses AoE on the hammer? The hammer was obvious thankfully but man, it got annoying
@Nasafitra Yes and no? I love stories 3 but.. after the stories over it like, ok, what’re my goals to spend the time to make my monsters more powerful/min max them? I like being consistently challenged and not having the towers takes it away, so by that point - I’d rather play a dif game
@Wintertide92@MHFZZEnjoyer It also helps that the DLC is all based on WESTERN myth tropes like vampire and Frankenstein so it’s much much easier for us to make that connection. Its pale? It drinks the life force, and it carries regality? Vampire, easy
@Wintertide92@MHFZZEnjoyer Not my intention to downplay your confusion, I very much enjoy Japanese folklore and etc so to me it all made sense immediately and my excitement of seeing the other monsters being based on a Kappa - Tetra, Onibi (Magna) - Akno as Kasa obake (umbrella Yokai) - Somna as Ningyo
@Wintertide92@MHFZZEnjoyer It was pretty obvious? The entire Base game of rise is pretty obviously Asian/Japanese folklore. The crest of of head, the spear tail and bladed arms (weapons of war), its intro when all you see is the floating lights (Will-o-wisps) usually a spirit that *often* leads to doom
@Paleonyx_Art@MidnightBoshi The design works well for me seeing how all of Rise’ are mythology/yokai based. He is a haunted samurai bent on war with a will-o-wisp theme, following a blend of Oni. I dunno what’s to hate. I feel like they forgot that before worlds, ecology wasn’t insane in mobile versions
@Wintertide92@MHFZZEnjoyer Yea, but so do many other monsters. I personally think that having sore thumb monsters really help ground the rest of the cast and plus, it’s still a semi fantasy game at the end of the day where we can casually wield weapons meant times our weight so why not go insano mode
