@rocioLilith@dustychipura I need to try that, thank you so much!!
And I thought of another variant, maybe it's possible to use a small ball, then coat it in glue a few times and use that.
So you don't have to have the glue on the hands, I can imagine that is not that good for health long term
@rocioLilith@dustychipura Hey, can you elaborate on the white glue? How does it help you?
I'm picking my lips for more than 10 years now and I can't stop. I think it's even worse than picking other areas bc even if my hands are busy I can still use my teeth and I haven't found a way to stop that...
@ADHD_Alien Given that rice cookers have extra trays for steaming vegetables and fish I'll nicely say your gourmet friend can shove it๐
I also found lots of recipes where you cook one pot meals in your rice cooker. Meat included. So go for it, and yes I'd definitely would marry mine too
@KEshleman@danidonovan I have have both... And I have to dust them both regularly ๐ซฃ
I just put them all in the shower. I like to think that it's like rain for the real ones๐
@ZLeeily@danidonovan I have real ones too - love seeing them getting bigger.
It's just that I think many people are ashamed for having fake ones and that's sad because everyone should be able to have greenery in their spaces. Regardless of the reason for having them.
@adhdjesse I use the YouTube channel "mind amend".
The tracks there are with isochronic beats which alters your brain waves so concentrating is easier (or you could slow them when you want to sleep). There are also tracks for meditating etc.
That channel changed my life! Check it out๐
@ADHD_Alien I struggle with eye contact because I find irisis facinating. Coulors, patterns, changes on sunlight. So I end up staring๐ I look at surrounding things.
I also look people on the mouth when they are talking which can get uncomfortable (as a woman surrounded by men on the job..)
@HowtoADHD I can't sleep when my mind is busy with sth in the subconscious. It's weird as I know sth is going on but not exactly what.
So I try and actively think things through or get up and journal. It does results in a few sleepless nights here and there but overall helps with awareness
Hey ND pals,
I need to formulate goals that I want to achieve at work but I'm struggling. I was setting private goals and then never following through bc #adhd. I stopped that.
But for work I need to find goals.
How do I do even do that? I have no idea.
Help?
#askadhd
So my biggest #adhd hyperfocus and fun thing is setting up digital planning systems.
My boss just asked me to find a tool for us to plan our new project with and I'm in heaven. I get to spent my workday doing the thing I love the most๐
#hyperfocus activated
@NomeDaBarbarian Yes, I cringe, shake my head, furrow eyebrows, shudder, groan quietly and even curl in on myself (this only when I'm at home or feel secure)
Reaction varies in force depending on force of the memory and my surroundings.
I'm adhd and those are definitely tics...no control ๐
@Uniflame@HowtoADHD I don't drink from my bottle, just use what ever glass I can get from the work kitchen
When I can just refill it I personally don't have problems but I get that that can be inconvenient for some๐
@Uniflame@HowtoADHD I do that at work! Now in the summer filled with cool water, great cause we don't have ac
I'm easily getting 1.5l in my 9h their and then the rest aka 2 glasses at home I get to anyway.
But in view on my desk is the best to go about drinking ๐
@marigolds@danidonovan I have the same with my lips. It's aweful as my top one is littered with little white scars. Main focus is now the bottom one and the worst day is when old skin gets dry but the new one underneath is not really ready yet...it's a cycle i can't break
@Overhannalyze89 @swordsjew I listen to audiobooks because I immerse myself too deeply by reading. I can read for 3 hours and then need 1-2 days to "come to my senses". It's incredibly heavy brain fog. I don't notice anything around me, including hunger/toilet needs.
Audiobooks help me keep a save distance
