Partially disagree. This isn't about the audience having an attachment to XF (probably to some but not all the criticism related to XF is from this); it is about CXS's fundamental lack of situational awareness and basic self-preservation, which contradicts his 2 whole seasons of development.
Let's look at the actual on-screen actions instead of abstract headcanons:

@chatnoirtwt The things they mentioned are the ones where CXS blurted out, 'you lied to me' which they thought was very immature; trusted the lady despite knowing the place was dangerous; decide without caution; didn’t listen to LG; & acted like he never learned anything from S1&2. Very harsh

Cause Bridon and S2 finale definitely make you see LG's character in S1 in a new light. I think wanting the show to be slower atp is kinda dumb? These aren't new characters and this isn't a new plot either, the show should not be hand holding us anymore, especially for a mystery

I totally agree. That’s why I’m satisfied with the pacing and execution of the story. 2.5 seasons have already passed, so there’s no need to drag things out or spend a few extra minutes unnecessarily extending the story.

Too many people treating s3 like it's an isolated event... brother it's s3, it's a continuation of the previous seasons, there is no point in slowly building up a plot line that's already been built up before. I think some people are overdue a rewatch, especially of s1.

@chatnoirtwt Oh, TBF, he really does act goofy in Ep2, but saying he’s stupid is a little harsh. I think they said that cause they’re looking for the development of CXS. They mean he shouldn’t act so impulsively and recklessly that much, since he already learned that lesson in S1 and S2.

That’s not necessarily true. It depends on what you post. If you’re afraid of backlash, you can share your opinion privately. If you’re not, then post it publicly. But don’t expect people to always agree with you, especially in a public space. That happens in every fandom.
