Technically my wife’s link, but she’s not on X (yet, I’m working on that.) If you’re in the market for a new car, obviously should be a Tesla. Use this link and you save $2000 and we get a $1k credit! Enjoy: https://t.co/jEIttChA3P
I've been driving my Cybertruck for 1.5 years and I didn't know that was an option. I knew about service mode, but I've never personally tried to use it and honestly it feels a bit intimidating even to a techy like me. Your average buyer, particularly new to Tesla, wouldn't have a clue.
@Teslarati It already feels like I have better range than gas because it’s always full in the morning. On road trips, the charge time we have today is fine. The only range anxiety left is the remaining gaps in supercharging locations, which is always improving.
The latest version is twitchy (regression from earlier versions), but drives correctly. Critical disengagements aren’t really a thing anymore. I’ve seen a couple edge cases posted on here, but not experienced any myself for thousands of miles. I’m hoping the next version smooths things back out again. I believe unsupervised could be possible very soon.
I drove various manuals, including a minivan with stick… literally never met another. I love the feel of driving a manual. And yet, I wouldn’t go back to gas if you paid me. The only machine I own that isn’t electric now is my log splitter, and I’d swap that out too if there was an option available!
Of course FSD is a whole world apart so any manual driving when not “just for fun” feels like caveman stuff.
@MattWallaceTech Still on 14.3.2. I check all the time because this version is so twitchy and I really want a smooth ride again. Given the small rollout for 14.3.3, I’ve assume they found something they need to fix before going wider.
@elonmusk@BigImpactHumans@PeterDiamandis I want AI to be maximally truth seeking and as correct as possible even if I don’t like the answer. Grok already does truth pretty well, correct a fair bit, so already my go-to for everyday things. Claude still leads in code, but that could change overnight. Keep pushing forward!
I’ve been playing games since I was a small child and I knew I wanted to make games since I was about 5. I’ve been a game dev now for about 25 years.
Now with the aid of AI, I feel like indies have a real chance to make some amazing games and unleash us from old world constraints, but nope, any whiff of AI and they bring out the pitchforks.
For the first time after all these years I’m questioning if I really want to continue even though I know I’ve got great ideas I’d love to bring to life.
I’m using Unity at the moment, but only because the project requires it. Unity is great in many ways, but that last 20% of the project will always be a pain.
My favorite is Roblox honestly if only you could make standalone builds with it. I can’t seem to connect with that audience.
@mikepat711@nima_owji Grok Build! As soon as I can do project wide agentic code on a SuperGrok subscription, Claude and Codex are not getting another dime.
It would be ideal to have the option to “include charge after destination” that plans that out for you. Where I live, the nearest supercharger is 30 miles away, so you really do have to plan for it if you can’t charge at the end of the trip. Of course with time there will be fewer gaps and Tesla is working hard to fill it out.
Definitely not as stable as 14.2.2.5, but you already see how the overhaul will ultimately produce better results. Yes, it’s overreacting a bit right now, but it’s doing so with lightning reaction times. It’s good to keep the 14.1 release in perspective; similar level of change, but so much better already.
Dealing with autism, I mean the real autism, can really be hell sometimes and you just want to give up. Dang. Another super low night; wife crying, door looks like I’ll need to replace it again, hope for a brighter tomorrow and a cure someday. 🙏
@mikepat711 There’s so much to look forward to! Hard to be patient, but you know they are cooking and it’s going to be amazeballs when you finally get to see the next big thing. There’s literally no other company that comes close!
