It seems like many places such as the workplace, schools, etc. are requiring the vaccine. Even if people don’t want to receive it, most likely everyone will because of the strict requirements.

I don’t like that people are mandating taking the vaccine. I get that everyone wants to keep everyone safe, but you shouldn’t force people. It’s still a new virus and it’s still a new vaccine.

I understand why companies are requiring employees to take the vaccine so everyone is safe. I also understand why some people are hesitant to take the vaccine, so if they don’t want to take it they can leave. That way everyone’s happy.

I think this is a good thing because it shows we’re making progress! The pandemic is becoming easier to live with now that more and more people are getting vaccinated.

Younger kids don’t have the same freedom as older kids. Little kids’ parents make their decisions for them regarding school. So this is harder for the little kids, especially since the world may not go back to the same way it was before the pandemic.

Pathos was the strongest rhetorical appeal used in this article. This is a very emotional topic because adults don’t want to see their children’s mental health suffer. Kids don’t want to suffer (and shouldn’t suffer) by being isolated.

I agree that kids’ mental health has declined due to the pandemic. When kids are isolated, they feel lonely since they can’t socialize with their friends. People should be aware of the mental trauma these kids are going through.
@PaulFuji4@mrslouisa7100@HBrown_Xhs The virus is still relatively new, so the fact that a vaccine was created and distributed in less than a year raises suspicions for a lot of people. If 6 people are getting blood clots, that’s 6 too many. So it can be dangerous for some people.

If people are getting blood clots (even if it’s only 6 people out of 6.5 million), the Johnson & Johnson vaccine shouldn’t be distributed. It was made in under a year, so it makes sense if there are dangerous side effects.
