@jennyj_lee Thanks Prof. Lee. We are all normal students who just want to pursue our dreams. But the unfair pp10043 stops us. We need to be heard and supported!
#Stop10043 I still remembered how hard I was when I was trying to apply American universities and how thrilled I was when I finally obtained the admission letter from my dream university and fund from CSC. I thought everything would be fine. However, pp10043 disrupted my dream.
#Stop10043 I am a normal Chinese student from normal Chinese family. Last year, I have finished Master Program and obtained Fund from Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) to help me pursue my dream to study abroad. It wasn’t easy.

Young scholars affected by this anti-academic-freedom policy are reaching out and speaking up. https://t.co/MVyBoBdWrS
Let all hear them.
May these truths—life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness—forever self-evident, unalienable.

Students in China are calling on the U.S. government to revoke Proclamation 10043, which prohibits Chinese nationals affiliated with their country’s “military-civil fusion strategy” from pursuing graduate degrees or research programs at American schools.

@SpoxCHNinUS Even the student was there only for his undergraduate education (course-based education), he would be barred from entering the U.S. because of national security.
@SpoxCHNinUS It's based on our educational background to say we will threaten the United States national security. For example, a student who attended a particular college (yes, the U.S. government has a list of colleges that they believe are harmful to the United States).
@SpoxCHNinUS Let me clarify; I hope that all the legal foreign students will enter China as soon as possible. I, as a Chinese individual, welcome every legal foreign visitor. But PP10043 is different; its restrictions on Chinese students are unreasonable, even discriminatory.
Voice from Chinese students: It's unfair to bar students from entering the U.S. just because they've attended certain schools. We can't understand how the United States, while boasting about its democracy and freedom, could take such a measure.
