I've been planning to revisit a few books lately. While sorting through the drafts on my USB drive and computer, I stumbled upon a few: some novels, some professional books, and some case books that resemble handwritten diaries. The novels and professional books are fine, but seeing the two documents titled "...Being a Human Being..." and "...Summary," I'm seriously tempted to update them. These drafts are fragmentary records of my online chats with people over the years, recorded on my phone and in my memory. As the titles reveal, I didn't even have time to formally write titles and manuscripts. I simply named the documents based on the names I heard people use for their theories and the methods I used to record them (for example, in the alarm clock notes). I remember having quite a few such case study documents, but these two are the most wordy. And these two documents are enough to write two books—two books I really want to write. Even today, I'm still astonished when I look back at these two documents. As I read them, I realize that when a person's brain goes haywire, they can come up with all sorts of crazy theories and ideas. The ones I've recorded are already astonishing, and the ones I missed because I didn't have time to record them, but still have some memory of, are enough to make me sigh with regret. There's so much to explore and expand upon in these two documents, which are neither too long nor too short. Both already have hundreds of thousands of words in their backlog. As a mental illness patient with a basic understanding of psychology, I believe they offer both interesting reading and medical research value. This is because these words come from real people, and these seemingly crazy and absurd passages aren't from people who believe they have a mental illness. As I've said before, during those most difficult years, I revolved around "talk therapy," chatting with dozens of women and men every day. During those years, I communicated with countless people, heard endless gossip, and countless "unconventional theories." I don't want to call it heresy, because while some of the proponents of these theories have confirmed mental illnesses—some with bipolar disorder, some with paranoia—there are also some "normal" people who haven't seen a therapist. Such rash verbal diagnoses are truly disrespectful to them. When my own stress disorder was so severe that I couldn't leave the house, I deeply empathized with those who hold theories that, to outsiders, seem almost bizarre. They and their lives desperately need these theories to sustain them through already shattered lives, to keep them alive. They're just theories, so what? They haven't hurt anyone, at least not yet. Let's just watch the fun. In the future, I plan to anonymously compile these two and other documents into a collection of excerpts and publish them publicly. Let's call it Brainwave. As a hook, I'll post a few sentences from each document, mainly to give you a glimpse into the composition of these two documents, a bit like a glimpse into the whole. Paragraph 1 Paragraph 1 (I copied this from the beginning, a few sentences in each document) - Two Forms of the People-Pleasant Personality "I am the best, I am the most powerful, I am the king, above all others. Only I deserve my respect, care, attention, and focus. I must be completely focused on myself, wholeheartedly, and absolutely true to my expression and actions..." (from Document 1) The above is from a person with an extremely people-pleasing personality. This person (I won't mention their gender; people-pleasing personality and gender have nothing to do with each other) is deeply troubled by their own people-pleasing personality. They are constantly taken advantage of by those around them, so to correct this, they have to create a preconceived notion: I am superior to other humans, and I must put myself first... I actually quite understand this feeling. After all, I've encountered plenty of anthropomorphic people, and I've been taken advantage of by them quite a few times... "Because I'm extra good, I suffer extra negativity and harm from those who treat me negatively. Therefore, I must give myself extra favoritism and be extra selfish and intolerant to those who treat me negatively. That's fair." (From Document 2) The above content and the paragraph in Document 1 actually have similarities, reflecting the same nature in different forms. I'm still sorting this out. I'll continue after I finish this section. I'll leave a note here as a reminder.
