376 km Lambata-Bida-Makera-Kontagora road Reconstruction: second road that connects South West to the North.

1: 1980: The then President Shagari approved the initial single-carriageway road.

2: 1990s: the then Head of State, Gen Abacha directed the Chairman PTF headed by General Muhammadu Buhari to fix the road.

3: 2010-2018: Various phases and sections of the road were awarded though progress stalled or dragged on due to funding.

4: 18 April,2018: Ag President Osinbajo approved N33bn for the construction of 123.9km Bida-Lapai-Lambata

-(a): awarded to Dangote Group under the Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme of NNPCL.

5: Status: President Tinubu’s new financing game plan:

-(a): increase in length from 123.9km to 376km

-(b): President Tinubu has approved N1.5 trillion for the comprehensive reconstruction and FULL DUALISATION of the entire corridor.

6: October 13, 2026; the President via the HM @FMWNIG @DaveUmahi and farmer Gov @HonBago will perform official groundbreaking and flag-off ceremony.

7: Farmers and agricultural producers are the major beneficiaries of this road construction. Post -harvest losses reduce and cheaper food for South West.

8: From 1980 to 2026; that is 46 years, Tinubu says “enough is enough”; my Niger people must not SUFFER AGAIN. @officialABAT

9: The SSA North Central community engagement @AbiodunEssiet will be monitoring this ongoing project and sharing progress reports with us.
