I didn't get sober to fix my anger.

I didn't get sober to find happiness.

I got sober cause I could no longer stand how I felt as a drunk....

And with that I discovered a way to overcome anger and embrace happiness

When I read Chapter 10 of the Big Book, I was ALL in.

Within those pages I read about what I had been searching for, for a lifetime: Peace.

I was tired of debate. I was tired of argument and fault finding. I was tired of fighting.

The 10th Step Promises were my lifeboat.

My last drink wasn't just a drink. It was 7 days of booze, m3th and pills that almost ended violently at the hands of Police officers just doing their jobs.

I will never forget my "last drink"
