ABS-CBN trims recurring content loss as BINI powers second-half push

ABS-CBN narrowed the recurring loss of its core content business in the first half despite weaker advertising and a lighter entertainment slate.

Excluding political advertising and one-off items, the segment’s recurring net loss improved 1 percent while recurring ebitda rose 2 percent.

At the group level, ABS-CBN remained under pressure, with consolidated revenue falling 17 percent to P6.88 billion and net loss widening to P1.83 billion.

BINI’s ongoing world tour and a fuller slate of films and live events are expected to help lift revenue over the rest of 2026.
