Swing trading requires more than ‘just more patience!
For 8 months, I’ve traded swing setups after transitioning from day and intraday trading. And a full month with no valid set-ups taught me that the long wait for opportunities requires strategic patience(Active patience).
Things I did that changed my trading life:
I stopped paying for signals groups.
I stopped funding $10 accounts with the aim of flipping it to billions and started trading prop firms and building capital from businesses.
I stopped calculating my money in dollars and started looking at percentages. That simple shift changed the way I viewed risk, consistency, and growth.
I went for proper mentorship. I didn’t really learn from anyone because there were less trusted people, but I followed a proper structure and learning curve. So if you can find someone you trust, pay for proper mentorship.
I started creating forex-related content. It helped me improve my mindset, share value, impact people, and hold myself accountable. I also started journaling my trades and my decisions.
I made friends with a few people who shared the same goals and mindset as me. Your environment matters.
I became more financially disciplined and started focusing on things that would actually build me instead of things that only made me feel like I was progressing.
Most importantly, I started working on my psychology, not just my technical skills.
If you follow this structure and genuinely stay consistent, you might eventually put yourself in the position you’ve always desired to be.
All of these things shaped me into the type of trader who was able to build wealth without depending on other traders’ money, mentorship fees, or signals.
I’m not against any of it, but if I decide to have any of them now, it’s valid because have experience genuine result
Your relationship with yourself cannot be built entirely around improvement. At some point, you have to become someone you are allowed to enjoy being. You get to be proud of who you are. Present tense.
