Thanks to that, I found out through the source code too. The very fact that this code has a 'Redeem' function proves that vouchers exist.

There are two validation functions: isValidRedemptionKey() and isValidPaperVendRedemptionKey(). They're clearly validating vouchers.

Regular Byron addresses don't meet the length, padding, and byte rules, so they immediately return false in the validation step → RedeemAdaError.

If what you're saying is true that they're the same PKS so you can just put in an address that doesn't make sense either.
