In Maths we have been representing numbers within 10 in a variety of different ways.

In Computing today we practiced logging on to the school computers. We then looked at pictures and created our own algorithm for logging on. 🖥️

In Geography we have been discussing ways to make our playground even better. On the map we drew features that already exist in our school grounds and features that we would like to add e.g basketball net. @kapowprimary

We have enjoyed wearing our Christmas jumpers today, but most importantly we have loved the fact the we have raised money for Save the Children!

In R.E we have been learning about the Nativity story. We sequenced the story and made links to our Christmas performance.

We were all very excited because Mr Shilling came into school to talk about Hanukkah yesterday! We were also able to share the Happy Hanukkah song that we have been practising for our performance next week. @Y2AngramBank

In P.E we have worked on holding our balance when making different gymnastic shapes. We used beanbags and practiced tensing our muscles and holding each shape. We worked in pairs to create sequences that we then performed to the rest of the class. @AngramBankSport

In Geography we have been identifying human and physical features in China. We are really proud of our work! @kapowprimary

In P.E we have been learning a variety of gymnastics shapes. We then sequenced some of the shapes we had learnt and performed our sequence to the rest of the class. @AngramBankSport

In Science we put our knowledge about different materials to the test and made predictions about which objects would float and which would sink.

In R.E we worked together to create a word cloud using our knowledge on what Christians believe God is like.

Using paper plates, we created our own designs inspired by Clarice Cliff’s ‘Circle Tree’ plate. We used bright colours to paint the concentric circles which contrasted nicely with the black silhouette of the tree. @kapowprimary

In P.E today we have completed a number activities at different stations designed to help us travel in different ways.

In Science we learned all about melting and freezing. We discussed how this linked to the icy weather we have had this week! ❄️🌨️

As part of our fieldwork in Geography, we went on a walk around our school grounds. Whilst on our walk, we identified features in our school grounds using a simple map. @kapowprimary
