Year 2 have used all their knowledge of mapping skills to make their very own maps of our local area this afternoon. Here are some of our maps in progress. Check out these cartographers in the making. @GaytonPrimary
We had a special visitor at Gayton today - meet Strider! We’re thrilled to launch the Living Streets Travel Tracker this September and start earning our Walk to School badges. Big thanks to Amanda and Strider from @livingstreets@GaytonPrimary
Thank you so much to Chris from Modeshift for launching our ‘Walking Bubble’ this afternoon. A small team of us then conducted a site audit, observing features within our ‘Walking Bubble’. @GaytonPrimary
Year 2 were intrigued by a pair of oversized overalls found in the classroom this morning! We unscrambled a leaflet and drew a character with hands the size of tables, legs like drainpipes, and feet as big as rowing boats. What could it be? @GaytonPrimary
Year 2, really enjoyed our drumming workshop this morning. Thank you so much to Alex from ‘Amasing’ for such a fun and educational drumming journey across Africa. @GaytonPrimary
Busy planting out and getting our school allotment ready this afternoon. We are so excited to see how well our fruit and vegetables grow in the weeks to come.@GaytonPrimary
Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Port Sunlight to learn all about a washing day in the past. We continued our studies of Lord Leverhulme and enjoyed exploring how he looked after his workers. We even got to make our very own soap! @GaytonPrimary
What a lovely day to plant some fruit trees to start our very own orchard! These gardeners certainly had green fingers and found a perfect place to plant their trees in our Gayton allotment. @GaytonPrimary
Fantastic dynamic balance on a line today in our Year 2 PE lesson. Not even a wobble from these fantastic gymnasts as they focussed on their posture and technique. @GaytonPrimary@Y5Gayton
Year 2 couldn’t believe their eyes today- a dragon has laid its egg in our classroom! What an amazing opportunity to explore and create expanded noun phrases. We can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow! @GaytonPrimary
