Today we have been learning about Sheffieldโs Great Flood in 1864. We have looked at different artefacts from the past and we have listened to stories about some of the survivors.
The children have been learning how to create an animation using the iPads. This week they have thought carefully about the set up to make sure that the iPad and background do not move whilst they capture their image.
The children looked at the differences between a clean hospital and an unclean hospital. Some children even practised making beds and cleaning the hospital.
The children had a lovely time at the Thackray Museum in Leeds. They met Florence Nightingale who taught them what life was like as a nurse and a porter in the Victorian times.
Happy New Year! The children have really enjoyed coming back to school and it has been lovely to hear their exciting news. They have settled really well into our new learning environment. Today, we have learned a story from Christianity when Jesus cured the lepers.
