Year 3 recently studied the story of the Good Samaritan. We discussed what it means to love our neighbour. We created beautiful posters to show others how to love their neighbour at school #REstannesgae1 @StAnnesgaCPS

Year 3 we’re very proud of our mosaics created for refugee week. We had a lot of fun designing and making them and had the chance to share the meaning behind our artworks with parents and carers today #RefugeeWeek2023 @StAnnesgaCPS

We began planning and designing our mosaics today! We learned about the art form used in ancient Roman times and are adapting this to create an artwork for #refugeeweek2023 @StAnnesgaCPS #dtstannesgae1 #humanitiesstannesgae1

An amazing trip to #littleangeltheatre we got to experience an amazing puppet play “the wolves in the wall” we loved it and would highly recommend! @StAnnesgaCPS

We made fossils to help us understand the process of how they are formed. We buried bones into “sediment” and created some pressure to allow decomposition and therefore creation of a fossil! #sciencestannesgaE1 @StAnnesgaCPS

We loved receiving our new books from @BookmarkCharity ! We received some fascinating graphic novels that were too good to put down! Thank you bookmark! @StAnnesgaCPS #rwsdingstannesgaE1

We discussed how we can “be the church” by doing good for others. We looked into some different charities and made posters to show how we can get involved and love one another like Jesus asked us to @StAnnesgaCPS #REstannesgaE1

We had an amazing time exploring new foods today using all of our senses! We were encouraged to feel, hear and smell the foods we were eating. Many of us tried different fruits for the very first time! @StClare_SAGA @StAnnesgaCPS

We were honoured to have Father Jose come and speak to us about the meaning of Mass. We learned the importance of each part of Mass and had a lot of our questions answered! #REstannesgae1 @StAnnesgaCPS

A practical RE lesson last week discussing the meaning of the readings at Mass. Year 3 independently shared their responses to this concept cartoon which gave us a lot to reflect on in our class discussions #REstannesgae1

A practical lesson learning about money! We were able to use different combinations of coins to make amounts. We also practised more efficient ways of adding and subtracting money. #mathsstannesgae1 @StAnnesgaCPS

Year 3 had an amazing conversation in our oracy / P4C lesson this afternoon. Pupils were able to articulate their opinions, as well as agree and disagree respectfully with one another @StAnnesgaCPS #p4cstannesgae1
