@knowthyselv@Ojdunsin@incwhoreporated@Bolajiparle Mr/Mrs/Miss First Human, know only thyself. It will shock you what these doctors experience with Nigerian patients. When they say some things happen, just give them the benefit of the doubt.
@wilfred_adhuze@veekdegreat@_deoluwaa A patient with a heart attack or difficult labour or has been involved in an accident become priorities during call hours like weekends when there are fewer hands (how many doctors are even in Nigeria?). Other NON LIFE-THREATENING cases can and should attend during regular hours.
@wilfred_adhuze@veekdegreat@_deoluwaa For a very long time. Weekends are usually for emergencies. If you come to the hospital with a life threatening condition on a Sunday afternoon, you will not get the best outcome if the only doctor available is busy seeing patients with ringworm that has been ongoing for 3 weeks.
@Alitadotgg@_deoluwaa@iam_asikad It is both. Call hours are not for routine regular check up. They are reserved for emergencies. Doctors are not that many, and the ones around are overworked!
It is dangerous to be seen during an emergency by an exhausted doctor on-call tired out by seeing non urgent cases.
@drkeithsiau@Medzonetv Resident doctors strikes have been going on at regular intervals from as far back as 2010 if not longer and can last months at times.

Taraji P. Henson, 55 unmarried, keeps insisting she’s “single and happy,” yet every appearance feels like a loud reminder that she still wants to be chosen. If you’re truly fulfilled, why does the wardrobe look like a desperate billboard for attention? 😭

@dr_afo@zimacocrypto To anyone who has never experienced it, it easily reads like fiction. And it is not reality somewhere, it is reality almost everywhere.

@niyidaniel18@dr_afo Or he needs to go home and come back by 10am to start running an outpatient clinic till 4pm. Never mind that he started work from 8am-2pm the previous day before he was granted a 2hr break from 2-4pm before starting the call at 4pm. He was even lucky his call duty started at 8pm.
