This afternoon we have answered the question ‘How were the key physical features of the Peak District formed?’ as part of our Geography work. @GaytonPrimary
Following a very hot Sports Day this morning, we are spending the afternoon in the computer room exploring weather and collecting data. We are inputting data into Excel and learning how to sort it. @GaytonPrimary
In PE we measured our heart rates/pulse before and after exercise. We also practised balancing with added challenge of either catching a ball, high knees or a small force. @GaytonPrimary
Take a tour of our Final Pieces of writing. We created an information page all about the rainforest. We included a formal tone, themed paragraphs, appropriate vocabulary, subheadings, images and fact boxes. We also had a big focus on our presentation. @GaytonPrimary
We’ve also been finishing our batik artwork today. We used fabric, glue and acrylic paint to create patterns. We made our patterns with glue, waited for them to dry, painted over them and then once dry rinsed the glue off. @GaytonPrimary
We are all competing in a Times Table Competition with lots of other Y4 children across the country today. We are currently first place! With bits of art and movement breaks throughout the day we hope we can keep our position! @GaytonPrimary
This afternoon we are lucky enough to have the author Rachel Morrisroe in to school to talk about her new book. A big thank you to @LinghamsBooks for organising this fabulous event. @GaytonPrimary
In our Ukulele lesson today we learnt the chords C7 and F Major. We used these chords in a song you might recognise and Oliver demonstrated them to us all.
In Geography we are learning about Brazil. We are researching and creating fact files about the Biomes of Brazil. We have also located it on a map of the world. @GaytonPrimary
