We explored arch & beam bridges, designing our own to test stability. After testing and making adjustments, it was exciting to see our bridges hold up under pressure! ππ
After our introduction to science week yesterday, we weβre excited to conduct our own experiment today exploring change in pitch. We discussed the importance of control variables and are excited to plot our results tomorrow!π§ͺ
To start our science week off, we investigated 'pitch'. We conducted an experiment to find out which bottle created the highest and lowest pitch depending on how much water was in each bottle.
5K had an amazing time meeting Slip Paw, our robotic dog! We read books, enjoyed its tricks and left feeling inspired for our World Book Day writing competition! π
We were very lucky to have a visitor yesterday as part of our exciting World Book Day activities this week. Terry Caffrey showed us the art of poetry and the freedom that it gives you. He made us all laugh and inspired us to use our imaginations to create exciting poetry π
Itβs #WorldBookDay and we have started this exciting day with a whole school assembly where Mrs Greaves read Rusty the Robot and revealed that she had hidden five golden tickets around school. Who will find the golden tickets?! πππ
Itβs Quidditch Day for KS2 today! We started with an assembly to learn about the Houses of Hogwarts and the children are very excited to play Quidditch today π§
5K had a special visit from a poet @HarwoodAliArt We were fully engaged and enthusiastic throughout. His session highlighted that poetry really is for everyone, leaving us inspired and excited to explore our own creativity.
