The Assembly Member represents our District (Alameda, Oakland and San Leandro) and votes in California state legislature. Their job is very similar to one of the House of Representatives in DC.
We are looking for new members! If you are at all interested in creating change and achieving justice within the bay area, please come to our orientation this Sunday at 3:30pm! Link in our IG bio! ❤️❤️
The YAOA are speaking at this Friday’s town hall. We will be talking with local officials about police issues in Alameda that must be addressed. We hope you will join us and listen in on our discussion. If anyone needs help signing up or finding the link please DM us
This doesn’t change the fact that George Floyd is gone. Rest In Peace to George Floyd. We hope that his family can find some peace in this ruling, and that this will be the catalyst for more justice to be served in the future.
It is horrifying and repulsive to see such hateful words and actions come from our fellow students. The YAOA stand firmly against all hate speech. It is disheartening to see such aggression from our peers and classmates. We cannot stand for this. We must do better.
Due to passover we made the decision to move our vigil to March 31st. The vigil is to honor the AAPI lives that have been lost and the trauma that has been dealt to this community. We hope to see you there on Wednesday!
STUDENTS: ASP co-founders @ChrisEvans and @MarkKassen are taking your questions to Congressmen @RepKinzinger & @jahimes for a special conversation about your political future. Register today & drop your questions here 👉

Devastated by the murder of 8 people in Atlanta, including 6 Asian-American women.
There have been 3,800 anti-Asian incidents in the last year, almost all against women.
We must remember that an attack on one community is an attack on all of us. #StopAsianHate
