🚨🚨#BREAKING: Women Lawyers' Association (WLA) expresses profound concern over the disturbing recent incident involving Advocate @ImaanZHazir at the hands of the Islamabad High Court Chief Justice, Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar. During court proceedings, the Chief Justice reportedly threatened to initiate contempt proceedings against her, remarking "kisi din main ne pakar liya na", and further asked her husband to make her "behave." These comments are sexist, threatening, and unbecoming of a judge. Courtrooms are spaces for justice, not intimidation or the policing of women lawyers.
Equally concerning is the Islamabad High Court administration's decision to strip Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz of her role as competent authority after she took cognizance of Imaan Mazari's harassment complaint against the Chief Justice and also formed an inquiry committee in consultation with her fellow judges. This act of de-notification and replacing her with another judge erodes confidence in the integrity of the complaint process itself.
The end result of childhood trauma is: avoidance. You stay in toxic relationships, in toxic careers, you overspend even when in debt, and tiptoe around people to avoid confrontation. The feeling of helplessness is becomes too consuming.
@walizahid@AbsarAlamHaider Thank a lot! It is moral duty of every human being. To see a person who needs emergency help and ignore it is the biggest kind of cowardice. My brother only did what any human being with a conscious should do
