It's going to be an exciting day tomorrow as we announce the Year Group winners of this year's book awards. Our teams of Year7, 8 and 9 readers will also be arguing the case for the chosen book to be the overall winner of the YBB Book Awards 2023. Can't wait.

We've had a fabulous morning at Neath Library, debating which of the shortlisted books should be our overall winner. All the teams spoke passionately about about their winners and year 8's arguments for When the War Came Home were most persuasive!

Our third and final year group is Dread Wood by @JenniferKillick winner of the Year 7 Ysgol Bae Baglan Book Awards. Congratulations! The children loved the excitement of the story and how it was relatable to them. A fab Year 7 winner.

Visited @swanseastones today to collect books our Yr 8&9 pupils ordered with their @Books_Wales voucher. Between us and the amazing staff @swanseastones we've helped pupils choose a book we think they'll really cherish from our 'Reading for Pleasure' guide #schoolslovereading
