General Education Teachers' Perceptions of Autism, Inclusive Practices, and Relationship Building Strategies https://t.co/GzB1ENeJzl (open-access). Some really insightful comments. Top: "Taking an interest in student interests." Can't say fairer than that.
We talked to 18 gened teachers about their views of #autism and everyday strategies for #inclusion and relationship building--Though all teachers had autistic students in their K-2 classes, 75% hadn't received ANY autism training. #OpenAccess paper here: https://t.co/9O9fFQ6mR3
Using USA nationally representative data of autistic youth (ages 13-25), our study found that older age, comorbid intellectual disabilities, and lower household income were related to worse parent-rated health. Read the #OpenAccess paper here: https://t.co/oLJWPvYYRm #NLTS2
After wrestling with SPSS for hours (ugh), I came across #xlstat addinsoft. I don't want to speak too soon, but wow! Anyone in educ, psych, etc using it?? I haven't seen it cited in publications 🤔 @AcademicChatter#AcademicTwitter
In a survey of 180 educators, <9% of general education teachers who had an autistic student in their K-2 classrooms reported received any training in #autism — if you are a general education #teacher (K-2), you may be eligible to enroll in new federally-funded PD program. DM me!
@MikeyPasek @KahalonRotem Oo interesting! A reviewer recently said it’s “prudent” that I include the sample’s country in the title. I pushed back bc I thought (+ co-authors agreed) that it implied the sample was nationally representative. Keeping this handy in case it comes up again!
Here is my full statement about my decision to decline tenure at UNC Chapel Hill and instead accept the inaugural Knight Chair in Race and Reporting at @HowardU.

First time listening to @Within_Between I learned so much of what was advised in this episode through trial and error (sadly). Data management should be a foundational course in phd programs rather than a lab-specific acquired skill. https://t.co/Dw9WXLj2Xn

My online #researchstudy was recently infiltrated by bots. I haven't shared this story publicly because I felt a bit like it was my fault. I'm putting my pride aside because I think #dataintegrity is and will be a growing issue in survey data and is not discussed enough (1/n)
