The role of teachers in civic education continuing as a theme at #YCENConf, w @BronwynEWood emphasising the high levels of creativity and agility required from teachers to successfully implement the ‘personal social action’ assessment in New Zealand.
A theme that seems to be recurring at #YCENConf is that youth activism is being used - in particular places, at particular times, in particular ways - to stabilise dominant powers rather than actively challenge and address power imbalances.
