I highly recommend my hard-science colleagues give this paper a read. It is humbling to be reminded that oftentimes the only reason new science got accepted was because old scientists died. Let’s move towards a more cooperative and collaborative future. https://t.co/R65xpqd7ab
Querying Wikidata is a superpower. You can now query Wikidata without SPARQL skills with the new Query Builder! 🧚 Check it out! https://t.co/b6djHiTuBS
@MarkBoslough The best queries depend on complete graphs. E.g., because West's been fully disambiguated, you can query for articles where he wasn't an author and expect it to be mostly accurate. There's definitely a lot of opponent papers here but it's not all of them!

@MarkBoslough A better visualisation to use for this sort of thing is a co-author graph. The one on the Scholia profile limits the number of connections to ease the compute requirements but you can disable them to see the whole thing (again, this will be incomplete).

@Marc_Young_90@CosmicTusk @martinsweatman1 The purple part of the bars (2019/20/21) are all of @martinsweatman1's videos covering the debate!

Huge thanks to @Marc_Young_90 and @CosmicTusk for their work in creating "The Bib"! What would have taken years has been achieved in just a few months...

@Marc_Young_90@CosmicTusk I'm here to help! A good example is location data; adding places as main subjects enables queries that generate interactive maps (click on a dot).

@CosmicTusk@Marc_Young_90 Looking forward to seeing them! Just so you know, although vague, Wikidata does have a notability policy and news articles are a bit of a grey area.

It's always a good idea to discuss new items if you're unsure 👍.

There's still lots of work to be done though, like disambiguating the hundreds of authors who only have one or two works on the subject to their name.
