We did it! Thank you to the voters in the seven county metro area for approving #YESon7G.
This measure will allow the @FloodControlDis to continue its work protecting people, property and open space for millions of people for years to come.
Thank you for your support!

This is why we do what we do. Preserving open space is critical because it keeps us safe, provides an opportunity for recreation, and quite simply is beautiful.
This is the Lafayette-Louisville Boundary Area, where we recently completed drainage improvements.
Maybe we should do something to support what Jeff Shoemaker calls "the single-most effective, efficient and productive public entity I’ve ever engaged with.”

One of our award winning projects this year is the West Fork of Kenney’s Run in Golden. 🏆
This project won the APWA Environmental Award, and was recognized at the APWA awards luncheon on October 29th.💪
Great job to all who collaborated to improve the @CityofGolden!
The Metro area is experiencing unprecedented growth.
The Flood Control District is the leading force preventing growth in low-lying floodplains; so instead of industrial growth, those areas are now open space for and enjoyment while providing a safe buffer from high water.

What a great season it was for surfers at River Run Park! 🌊🏄♀️

Thanks to our tech-wizard friends from Boulder County, we now have a fun way to learn more about some of the largest Colorado Front Range floods that have impacted the Denver/Boulder region since 1844.

We just completed a fantastic project on Wonderland Creek in Boulder, that has reduced the flood risk for hundreds of homes. It was a one mile long project that took 9 years.
Check out the view at 34th and Iris after the 2013 and today.
