Women in the Global South are excluded from digital access & a majority of those who manage to have access to the internet and digital spaces are subjected to digital harm. How can the regulatory authority talk about data protection and cyber security without women at the table?
The World Bank has pledged support for MACRAโs data protection and cybersecurity initiatives through technical assistance and capacity building.
Team Leader Tim Kelly said this comes as MACRA moves to make the Data Protection Authority (DPA) and MwCERT independent.

From the discussants, it is clear that women are paid less. This is especially the case where you are a young woman. This wage disparity extends to house staff, where a male domestic worker is usually paid more than their female counterparts.
