Embrace dependence on the Lord by embracing fundraising. It’s scary to be dependent, but dependence on the Lord is exactly where we want to be. Psalm 56:3 – “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Online. Online. Online. Try to encourage as many of your donors as possible to set up a recurring gift online. Donors who set up a recurring gift online give more consistently. https://t.co/as1jK1wNE0
Think of your fundraising communications like a Club talk: story for connecting, core message/Scripture, how they can respond to what they’ve heard. Keep it simple and powerful!
“I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers make, and all the people those...prayers were destined to affect...we would be so paralyzed with awe...that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.” – Peter Kreeft
Do your donors feel good about giving? Make sure you share with them the impact their gift is having. People want to see the difference their gift makes. Don’t assume they know. Reach out and share the impact with them!
Do you know what donors haven’t yet made a gift this fiscal year, but did last year? Here’s a report you can run for your YL area. https://t.co/VGqMmyoNsC
Fundraising can be stressful, but peace is possible. Spend some time with Him. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” – Col. 3:15 (NIV)
How much individual time are you spending with donors? Who is falling through the cracks in being cared for? Find a way to reach out one-on-one to them in person or by phone.
Now can be a good time to step back and take a look at your financial master plan. When, throughout the year, are you updating donors, thanking donors, and asking donors?
