60 years today since Otto Frank opened the Anne Frank House- a family in a much more frightening lockdown than any of us are experiencing. Anne’s diary is still an inspiration for our Year 6 students every summer and maybe it will inspire some modern lockdown writing from you!

We had a fantastic celebration of all things ‘books’ today and heard three amazing stories written by talented Year 4 writers who were awarded bronze, silver and gold certificates in our internal 500 words competition. So much effort had been put into the costumes this year too!
Spending just 10 minutes a day reading and sharing stories with children can make a crucial difference to their outcome and it’s fun for all involved. You can read together anywhere and everywhere, from breakfast to bedtime!
