Love seeing CSO standing together defending the rights of women & girls. This work is a tough one!
We won't like our children to fight for the same things we fought for.
We must aspire to leave a better society to our children than the one handed over to us!
Change is scary.
According to @UNICEFGambia , 73% of women & girls between the ages of 15-49 in The Gambia have undergone FGM. FGM robs women & girls of their freedom and dignity. It is time to reclaim their bodies, empower their choices, and end this harmful practice once and for all.
