Today, at Kololo ceremonial grounds, we were inspired by the remarkable growth, transformation, resilience and great impact showcased by @YPAGoats’ at their marvelously attended 18th Annual General Meeting.

A journey that started in 2008, by a focused youthful leader MD @ObedBen_, has grown into a big enterprise with presence across 16 countries on the African continent and keeping over 157,422 pleasant goats. Amazingly, Youth Platform Africa (YPA) owns over 7,000 acres of maize and 15,000 beehives in Uganda, as well as more than 17,000 acres in Tanzania. YPA is also taking bold steps in industrialization through importing and operationalizing machinery and equipment that include; combine harvesters, plows (ploughs), harrows, row crop cultivators and above all, their processing plant is ongoing.

YPA has several markets and offices beyond the Great Lakes region, stretching to the United Arab Emirates particularly in Dubai, South Africa, Zambia to mention but a few, and their coordination with able partners in India, Türkiye, Pakistan, Egypt and still expanding.

We deeply appreciate His Royal Highness Chief Chamuka VI from the Republic of Zambia, for graciously attending YPA’s event while accompanied by a delegation from his Kingdom and representatives from the Zambian government led by Mr. Kaumbu Mwondela, the Vice Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption Coalition of Zambia @ACCZambia. This was a clear gesture of strengthening the spirit of Pan-Africanism, solidarity and the much needed collaboration for collective growth.

Grateful to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Dev’t @Mglsd_UG, Dr. @AggreyKibenge, who ably delivered H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni’s message that commended the leadership and members of @YPAGoats for championing sustainable agro-business initiatives aligned with Uganda’s National Development agenda and advancing socio-economic transformation across communities.

Congratulations to the entire @YPAGoats leadership spearheaded by Eng. Kambugu Kyeyune Peter, the Chairman Board of Governors, the Board members, the Managing Director @ObedBen_ and his able management and administrative teams.
