A historic Playoff run capped with a title 🏆
En route to their first championship in 53 years... the Knicks finished with the BEST postseason point differential (+283) in NBA history!
Amusing fact:
Yesterday the CFL on TSN panel was asking how much pressure was on Nathan Rourke to win a Grey Cup, and if it was "Grey Cup or bust" for the BC Lions.
First of all every team should enter the season with a Grey Cup or bust mentality. Anything less means you failed, since that is the objective every year for every team. I can guarantee that's Nathan's mentality, every single season.
Second of all, Nathan Rourke is 27 years old. He has started 37 CFL games. He has started 4 playoff games all of them except one on the road against juggernaut Winnipeg, and last year's loss in the WDF to Sask, where he almost willed them to the win.
But sure, let's label him as a guy that "must" win one at this stage of his career.
BLM won one after 18 games, with a Stamps team that was a perrenial contender.
Zach Collaros? 67 starts 72 including playoffs before winning his first in 2019, with the Bombers.
Trevor Harris won his first at 39 years of age, after 110 starts and 11 playoff games.
I know some of you like to look for any chance you get shit on Rourke, but he doesn't play defense. He can't pull of miracles every game. It's all pretty amusing.
But hey you all do you...and you know who you are.
