O Novo foi ao TSE tentando garantir sua participação nos debates com base em cinco deputados que hoje estão no partido — embora apenas três tenham sido eleitos pela legenda em 2022.

E quem relata o pedido? Kassio Nunes Marques, ministro do STF e atual presidente do TSE.

Na decisão, Nunes Marques sinaliza que mudanças legítimas de filiação partidária posteriores à eleição podem ser consideradas para fins de participação nos debates — justamente a tese usada pelo Novo para tentar entrar na disputa televisiva.

A discussão chega às vésperas dos debates da Globo mencionados no próprio processo.

Se a Globo aceitar essa interpretação sem questionamento, terá de explicar por que abriu espaço para uma mudança de critério em plena reta final da eleição.

🚨 Kassio Nunes coloca o Novo no debate por liminar no mesmo dia da Globo

O presidente do TSE, Kassio Nunes Marques, determinou nesta segunda (29) que o Novo seja incluído entre os partidos com participação assegurada nos debates. O partido elegeu três deputados em 2022, mas conseguiu contar outros dois que se filiaram posteriormente — desde que já estivessem na legenda antes de 20 de julho.

E aqui começa o problema.

Em 2025, o próprio Novo foi ao STF questionar o critério temporal usado para definir quem teria direito aos debates. Perdeu por unanimidade. O Supremo recusou criar, por interpretação judicial, um novo marco que não estava previsto na lei.

Não é exatamente a mesma tese: agora o Novo não tenta mudar a data de 20 de julho, mas mudar quem pode ser contado dentro dela. Nunes Marques aceitou o argumento em decisão cautelar e afirmou que filiações posteriores a 2022 podem compor a representação atual do partido.

Resultado: uma regra do próprio TSE que falava em representação resultante da última eleição geral acaba recebendo uma nova interpretação no mesmo dia de um dos debates citados no processo.

E não estamos falando de qualquer relator: Nunes Marques é o atual presidente do TSE.

O ministro ainda mandou comunicar com urgência as emissoras e determinou que, depois disso, o processo volte para avaliar alterações na própria regulamentação.

Ou seja: primeiro a liminar produz efeito. Depois o Tribunal discute como ajustar a regra.

Se a Globo simplesmente incorporar essa virada de interpretação como se nada tivesse acontecido, terá de explicar por que aceitou uma mudança tão relevante às vésperas — literalmente no dia — do debate.

Stopping Putin's Game:
(1) Putin's only viable plan to keep part of illegally-occupied Ukraine is to erode Western military aid. Left as it is, every day Russia faces huge irreplacable losses, while the AFU grow stronger. See post below.
(2) The Russian attack on political support for the war is built on the erroneous premise that this will be "an endless war." This plays well as a theme to Americans disallusioned by the Afghanistan war, its costs and the "train wreck" withdrawal.
(3) Americans get very little detailed news on the military operations and results. Even well-ionformed friends of mine are surprised by facts that I report to them. It is simply not covered by US media. See post below.
(4) This Russian propaganda line shows up in the Russian troll acounts, with pro-Russian nut jobs and then creeps into traditional news and opinions, i.e. David Sacks, Elon Musk, NYT, and others. None of the non-Russian sympathizers actually have detailed factual justificationb for them allegations nor do the third-parties deceived by this actually check anything.
(5) This endless war narrative has been the underlining basis for the erosion of Republican support for Ukraine both in the public and in Congress. Creating the narrative of a stalemate allows people to argue that it is time for "peace" or compromise. Folks often cite the need to end the suffering in Ukraine as some kind of thinly constructed moral cover for their opinion.
(6) Ukrainians overwhelmingly want to keep fighting, despite the dear cost to their society. They know the price of Russian occupation in random civilian murders, rapes, looting and targeted assassination of political and military figures. Only 9% find it somewhat or fully acceptable to cede territory illegally occupied by Russia including 2022 seizures as well as Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk. (7) I submit that Ukrainian sentiment would not run this strongly in favor of continuing to fight to achieve the 1991 borders if they felt they were losing or if the war promises an "endless conflict."
(8) So viewed totally objectively, is Ukraine winning and does the realtively small squre kilomerters of advances mean anything? (a) using the total map of Ukraine is very misleading: the actual area of the war now is a ban of land 40-80 km wide running from the north to Kherson. Ukraine needs only get a penetration or two through this lione to break out behind the generally undefended Russian rear areas. (b) Ukraine is making big progress in doing so, due to its attrituion of Russian forces, especially artillery and air defense. Precision artillery and drone strikes have decimated the Russian army, which is hitting horribly low morale, is poorly supplied and growing worse, and cannot replace either troops or equipment losses. New conscripts are untrained and lack officers to lead them. (c) Recently Ukraine has neutralized the Black Sea Fleet pushing it to the east and has virtually all of Crimea under indirect fire and drone coverage. Russian air defense is almost useless and has been taken out daily in key areas. Russian supply lines - never done well- are now reduced and threatened across the front. Russian troops and generals in linked communications have revealed general and growing defeatism.

Surrender? We can't surrender.

Explain to me how we can surrender if we have not been attacked? If there is not a single Ukrainian soldier on Russian territory.

They surrender to the occupiers. And the occupiers, they surrender. I suggest that we capitulate, sign an act of surrender and wait for Ukraine to say, "You guys are owed so many trillions of dollars.

You have caused us so much damage, you have to pay for it and only in this way it will be a century of shame Putin has destroyed not only 30 years that were before this development but also a good century of our children's lives because we our children and maybe even our grandchildren will pay reparations for what was done by Ukraine we occupied 18 percent of Ukraine we sowed these 18 percent with bombs mines shells, corpses, trenches.

We dug it all up. We destroyed their towns and villages. We made eight million men, women, leave them. They all left with moral deep traumas for which we too will have to pay. Refugees from Ukraine are afraid of fireworks. They are afraid of airplanes.

They just see an airplane in the sky and they're twitching because they're scared. This is a huge moral trauma that we've inflicted on at least tens of millions of people. And it's going to cost us a fantastic amount of money. So yes, we are, I'm not suggesting, we are obliged to surrender. We are obliged to surrender, we have no other option, none at all.

The longer we continue this stupid pointless war, the more payoffs we condemn our own children to. It's an absolute lose-lose situation. There is nothing we can do in this situation. We don't have the strength to advance 2 kilometers. 18% of the territory of Ukraine, yes, we captured Britskrieg, but out of these 18% of the territory, somewhere half, let's say 10% of these 18% were captured Crimea and Donbass.

That is actually this military operation gave us about 10 percent of additional territory of Ukraine. But we will not be able to move a kilometer further, you know? We can't reach Slavyansk for 500 days.

This war is lost. I'm not saying that I want us to reach Slavyansk. That's insane. I want us now to just put down all the weapons we have and run away with minimal losses. Now that would be ideal, but there is no other option.

Either we're going to shove people into the furnace of war by the hundreds of thousands every year, or even millions if you seriously look at it that way. Because Putin is scared. If he loses this war, he will be tried, he will be executed, everything will be taken away from his children, and it will be a disgrace.

Basically, Putin will be the Hitler of the 21st century as it is now. The same meme that Hitler was in the 20th century. Putin will be the same in the 21st century. He betrayed us, he deceived us. And the best thing we can do now is to silently flee Ukraine as fast as possible. This is the ideal option.

But, unfortunately, there is no person who can organize this whole thing. So yes, I propose to capitulate. It's the option that will save our lives. If you watch this video from 2026, you'll realize how right I was in 2023. It's now you're thinking, ahhh, traitor, he's undermining morality, etc.

But when Putin dies, and he will, grandpa is 70 years old by the way. When Putin dies, all this war will fall apart. And we will learn such terrible facts about this war that we will just scream with horror at night. What our soldiers have done there.

It's going to be a disaster, what we've done. Just look at Germany, it's exactly the same thing. The people there for decades were just terrified, they were not able to realize what they had done under such a fine leadership. We're going to have the same thing.

Speaking at a conference on mental health in Kyiv on Wednesday, the Hollywood actor and activist, Sean Penn responded to a question from Kyiv Post with a harsh assessment of the Russian dictator.
