@RepSwalwell@ByronDonalds@thereidout@SpeakerMcCarthy @RepAdamSchiff @Ilhan I can't say that I'm surprised. McCarthy is petty, and unfortunately, the Republican Party has been shifting more and more to this type of behavior. IMHO, they aren't showing they care about governing, they only care about vengeance for being held to standards and accountability.
@Nasdaqistan@buddhasgift1 I'm not sure that I'm following. How is it the airlines' fault & financial responsibility to cover issues caused by an outside party? The FAA Administrator should be responsible for making sure it all runs smoothly, but when that doesn't happen, why would the airlines pay?
@SpeakerMcCarthy Slippery slope, Speaker. I fear that you are looking to do a Joseph McCarthy type commission, but for corporations. Time will tell if this is going to be another dark "McCarthy" era of political partisanship and loyalty tests. We the People are watching.
@MattWalshBlog You realize that not every issue is a partisan one, right? Left or right doesn't matter here, the only commonality in these cases is the fact that classified documents were involved. 10 docs verses hundreds, self-reporting rather than non-compliance w/subpoena, the list goes on.
@RonFilipkowski Of course he has, because he and others like him are going to turn Congress into a personal vengeance machine for the next 2 years. Investigating the unelected 1st lady and son of the current president is not a Congressional responsibility.
@SpeakerMcCarthy The Speaker is a leadership role, Kevin. If you don't understand that, you should not be in the position. You made bad deals, and you're going to have to live with them. Sadly, so is the rest of the country ... at least, for the next 2 years.
@SpeakerMcCarthy A ceremonial vote at best, Kevin. That's going to be all you do for the next 2 years, votes for appearances which will only waste taxpayer funds & appease your base, not the rest of us. You are no longer the opposition party, and your caucus will be held accountable next cycle.
When the Speaker talks about "accountability" and also talks about "gutting The Office of Congressional Ethics," at least one of the two is text book talking out of his ass.
Today, Kevin McCarthy's first scheduled vote is to gut the Office of Congressional Ethics just in case you were wondering how much shady shit Republicans are attempting to get away with over the next two years.
@RpsAgainstTrump She and people like her should be in a mental institution. She lost, fair and square. There is no logical reason for her to call herself a duly elected governor of Arizona.
@LauraLoomer Nobody is voting based on your desire for 'vengeance', and Kevin at least won his election while your own district didn't even elect you to speak for them. What are you doing these days? π€
@ninaturner I would love to see a more centrist speaker but I don't think we're going to. Unfortunately, McCarthy is IMHO the best choice out of the terrible field currently in the running.
@KariLake Are you saying you have actual proof this time, or just a bunch of conspiracy theories you've strung together in what you think is a logical sequence? Good grief, you're ridiculous.
@EliseStefanik You mean the "disastrous withdrawal" that the Trump Administration negotiated? You're beyond ridiculous, and voters do see this. Not everybody believes your hyper-partisan garbage.
@JudiciaryGOP@SecretaryPete Oh, how cute, you're retweeting yourself. You of coured have receipts showing that you only fly commercial (Economy of course, because as you point out, it is the txpayer dime), right? Otherwise, you're a hypocrite.
@JudiciaryGOP@SecretaryPete Do you do anything other than firing off useless tweets? Seriously, what have you accomplished? You are absolutely pathetic, Jim.
@GOPLeader You can stop now, we all know that for you 2023 is all going to be about revenge, no accountability and nothing getting done. If you actually manage to get elected as Speaker, you're gonna be a disaster for this country and voters are watching.
