I just received the bitter news that Rav Yehuda Landy zt"l was niftar. He was from the most brilliant Torah historians of our generation, with knowledge of every inch of Eretz Yisroel.

He was my cousin, a descendant of the Gra. He was 64.

Truly a loss. Yehi zichro baruch.

He was about to put out his sefer on Yehoshua, but this brain tumor stopped him. I don't understand how anyone understands Esther or Yirmiyah without him.
