For 2023 it would be great to have some maintenance done to remove the white painted lines off of the pathways (by making the repairs) so wheeled users can roll safely. Some have been there for 9 months! Seems the #yycpathways could do with some TLC not just new! #yycbike#yyccc
Why do you ride....and if you suddenly didn't, who would say something, ask or wonder why? Likelihood is you ride for you, because you want and are motivated to, and enjoy it. Because you know how it helps your mental wellbeing as well as fitness. #yycbike#cycling
This we hope is just the start of the journey. Thank you all for helping raise over $5600 for @VTNCanada and the amazing work they do. More to come in 2022! #MentalHealthMatters#neveralone
The bike ride may be over, but the journey never ends.
I will continue to advocate for veterans' mental health and raise awareness about PTSD. I will work with my community to raise money, share stories, amplify voices, and ensure that every veteran knows they are #NeverAlone.
@mikaelahenschel You’re brave and supported! Mental health is not a stigma and we all carry its burden as we do with our physical health. It’s not a badge or a mark but part of human well-being. Asking for help is the biggest sign of strength in a person! #mentalhealth#neveralone
The focus is on new or existing bike lanes in a well served City but today I enjoyed a quite well connected ride in and out from the NW. Focus on connecting communities not the centre please #yyccc#yycbike#connectedcommunities#sharedstreets
If the @cityofcalgary team is serious about a climate emergency then why would you not start with the allocation of funds to elements which reflect that and not bury them within “roads” etc? Then we can monitor the spend to match the emergency? #mayorgondek#yycbike
The #RideforVeterans is not just a one day event, this is something that is lived every day. @TeghSinghCA went to Renert and Windsor Park Schools last week talking to kids about the history of the poppy and his time in service. @VTNCanada#yycbike#yyc. This is giving back!
Emotionally, today was awful. I know many veterans feel the same way around #RemembranceDay
I drew this and added it to my helmet. Thx to @VTNCanada I can check in with a team & get help. As always, DMs are open. If you’re going through it, I got your 6.

@itsakev Who owns the pathway do we know as I rode through this last week when it was just wet but this is a real issue we need to sort out (plus it must be causing erosion to the CP rail line?).
That’s a wrap for the media and route for Ride for Veterans. Been great to raise awareness and get ready for Thursday. Did you see us out there #yycbike? Don’t forget to support @VTNCanada and see our story on https://t.co/z9BWVGUdCW
